What's New

Here is the first update for the new 2024 year and it is directly a major one!

We have added great new improvements to the Resource Manager allowing you to even better manage and now also monitor your cloud servers. You can now also manage the firewall ports per service and also monitor the server workload with amazing graphs by adding a one click install of Netdata, a great new server monitoring service. Also a few more but important App Connect components are now updated to App Connect 2, like the Google Maps, Places and Directions components.

Furthermore we have fixed all the issues reported in the community and also improved the overall stability and reliability of Wappler.

Resource Manager

  • Added a great new server monitoring service from Netdata. Now you can fully monitor your server workload and visualize it with amazing graphs.
  • Allow to manage the firewall ports per service. Now in the service options from services like Netdata, Portainer or Traefik you can set the access permission for their public ports.
  • Allow Netdata to run also on local Docker desktop for monitoring the local developer machine.
  • Show Service options only on running services
  • Improve deploying services and refreshing list afterwards
  • Auto detect other running services on the same public ports and warn
  • When deplying Traefik and other projects are running offer to stop them first.
  • Improved adding Traefik to servers, enabling the dashboard options
  • Allow creating also Redis Managed Databases on Digital Ocean
  • Do not list databases under Redis Managed Database Clusters
  • Remove status icon for SSH Keys as it does not apply there
  • Firewall management per service is only available for remote cloud servers

Project Options

  • Improved docker redis options saving for all targets
  • Improve options validation and error tooltips
  • When target options are invalid, switch to that target to show it first

Capacitor SQLite Connector 1.0.4

  • Improved the Capacitor plugin integration to automatically add the right node modules
  • Pin sql.js to 1.8.0 due to memory problems with WASM in the newer 1.9.0 version

Mobile & Desktop Development

  • Improved Capacitor Electron integration, automatically update with the right node modules
  • Also copy the capacitor.js.map file

General

  • Reset the stored popup window sizes when moved to a different monitor or the scaling factor of the monitor changes
  • Update to the latest Electron 27.2.2 for best stability and speed.

Ngrok

  • Updated the version of Ngrok to 3.5.0 for nw installations. Older installation can simply do inline update when Ngrok is running by pressing ctrl-U in the Ngrok console.

Data Store 1.1.3 stable

  • Updated also the stable version to fix ware error that datastore parameters are not displayed in Wappler actions UI
