What's New

Wappler 7.9.3 is a performance-focused polish release that also makes AI work in Wappler easier to start, easier to guide, and easier to learn. The overall UI now feels much smoother on heavier projects, AI Manager has been refined for more practical day-to-day use, and the AI docs and tours coverage has been expanded into a clearer learning path.

This release especially strengthens the AI Manager experience as Wappler's project-wide AI surface. Users can move more naturally from provider setup and model choice into real full-stack guidance, practical prompting, and guided docs that explain how to use AI effectively across pages, design, App Connect, and Server Connect work.

Wappler Performance

  • Greatly improved overall Wappler UI rendering performance, making the app feel much smoother and more responsive even on large projects with many pages, complex page structures, and heavy App Connect usage.
  • Improved Design View rendering performance so editing and previewing rich pages feels faster and more fluid.
  • Improved Structure Panel rendering speed so large and complex page structures open faster and are easier to work with.

AI Manager

  • Improved the on-demand knowledge guidance so AI Manager can load the right knowledge more clearly when it is needed.
  • Added extra tools for ask mode to make AI Manager more capable for research, guidance, and non-editing help.
  • Made on-demand system prompts the default workflow and removed the old experimental option, making the setup cleaner and easier to understand.
  • Added support for user AI instructions and automatic reading of AGENTS.md when present in the project root, giving teams more control over how AI behaves in a project.

AI Docs, Tours, And Guided Learning

  • Rebuilt the AI Manager entry experience with a stronger hub and a more practical overview of the real AI Manager surface, including live controls, task history, prompt area, model picker, and account usage popover.
  • Added dedicated Connect an AI Provider and Choosing Models in AI Manager tours so users can set up providers in Wappler Options, understand usage and limits, and choose the right model for design, coding, and orchestration work.
  • Expanded the AI Development learning path with clearer entry points through AI Development, AI Manager, AI Manager Overview, Beginner Path, Build with AI, and Advanced AI Workflows.
  • Added practical guided coverage including AI Foundations in Wappler, From Prompt to First Full-Stack Feature, AI for Pages, Design, and UI, AI for Data, Backend, and Business Logic, and Agentic Generation, Context, and Verification.
  • Added a stronger prompt-and-control tour family with Prompting, Rules, and Execution, Best Prompt Guidelines, Design Prompts for Better UI, Rules, Standards, and Guardrails, and Plans, Task Execution, and Verification.
  • Reworked the AI examples around practical feature-building flows so users can move from prompting into page structure, UI states, validation, backend save actions, and review checkpoints instead of only reading abstract advice.
  • Clarified when to use the project-wide AI Manager versus the page-scoped HTML Editor AI Assistant, while strengthening the comparison path around AI Editors vs Wappler AI and Why Wappler AI Is Stronger Than Bare Editor AI.
  • Added clearer AI setup guidance that presents GitHub Copilot as the smoothest default onboarding option while still explaining the wider provider landscape and the difference between request-based and token-based usage.
  • Added stronger model best-practice guidance, preferring Claude Sonnet 4.6 and especially Opus 4.7 for design-oriented work, while preferring GPT 5.4 and 5.5 for programming, orchestration, and broader execution tasks.
  • Improved prompt-heavy tour presentation with clearer example cards, better popup sizing, cleaner icon coverage, and stronger readability in both runtime help and exported documentation.
  • Improved the main Docs & Tours popup so it stays anchored more reliably to its launcher, preserves context better when opening sub tours, and reopens in a more stable and predictable position.
  • Added a direct tour button in AI Manager and improved toolbar-based guided-tour launching across Wappler managers and panels so contextual help opens more naturally from where users are already working.
