Wappler 7.0.0 Beta 3 Released

Note: Wappler Beta runs as a separate app, so you can have both stable and beta installed, but please run them one at the time.

What's New

Based on the great feedback we got from the community on the new UI and Structure Panel, we are now offering global options to choose the exact positioning of the panels and the layout of the HTML editor. You can now choose to have the panels on the left or right side and the HTML editor in the center or on the right side. This way you can fully customize the Wappler UI to your liking and work more efficiently.

Also keyboard shortcuts have been added to quickly toggle the panels and the HTML editor layout as well the global left side panel.

Furthermore the new Structure panel now works seamlessly in undocked windows so you can have multiple editors on different screens and still have the full power of the Structure panel available.

Also few core extensions are updated with fixes and improvements, so you can enjoy a more stable and reliable Wappler experience for both Wappler 6 and Wappler 7 beta.

Wappler HTML Page Editor

  • Fully working now in the separate undocked windows
  • Updated html editor to have new panel layouts (can be set in options)
  • Place panel selection different depending on panel location
  • Added titles to panels, "Page" for the page related panels like Structure and "Selectrion" for the properties panel
  • Make panels toggable with collapse icons in the title bar
  • Added shortcuts to toggle panels - alt+2 (ctl+cmd+2 on Mac) for the page structure and alt+3 (ctl+cmd+3 on Mac) for the properties panel
  • Fixed error on restoring tree state in Structure panel when working on old open files

General

  • Implement global toggle key for the left side panel - alt+1 on Windows and ctl+cmd+1 on Mac
  • Improved popup windows title styling
  • Require restart after panels option changed

Wappler Account Site

  • Improved the community to login to be much more faster
  • Improved registration with mixed case e-mail addresses

Server Connect Editor

  • Improved external change detection. Now the editor is auto reloaded if not dirty, otherwise a confirmation is shown
  • Improved editor refresh, if dirty ask to save first otherwise reload from file

Database Manager

  • Improve initial layout and property inspector size

App Connect Actions

  • Improve display of the action components to display also the ID when available, without changing the extensions
