When I first starting using Wappler, there was no Data Type on a Set Value action, but today there is, so I’ve been setting it…but it doesn’t appear to give me any control over the data type.
For example:
still produces a number, even though I’ve set to Text.
So what does this Data Type property control?
Well the data type setting doesn’t change the value - it just gives a hint of its output type so that on other UI and pickers know what to do with it.
If you enter a value manually like you did in the UI - the entry is just smart enough to see what you have entered and quotes or not the value. But this is just because you enter it manually.
Okay, that's what I remembered being changed...however, within the server connect, it shows test as being an object, regardless of the setting.
