Thanks Teodor… my attempt at websockets and do… its been a hectic learning curve and loads of changes for this project from php… but i can say worth it…
Just a quickie… I logged in using one of the test accounts, left the tab open and came back a little later to have a look. I tried to place a couple of bids but they didn’t work with no error message. It looked like I was still logged in but when refreshing the page I was actually logged out. Might be worth a look.
Thanks maybe a session? But please do note. I am busy on the site…and making changes as this is a beta… restarting servers at DO… and changing the sizes… and redeploys… so that might have been it…
Probably was the session, but my point is that the page looked like I was logged in still. Perhaps add a scheduler that runs an SC periodically. If the SC API it points to has a restrict step, you can then use the unauthorised dynamic event on the client-side to redirect to a sign in page.
Or do the same dynamic event for unauthorised for bids that come back unauthorised because of a Restrict step.
I have been checking out the site from central US and the site feels fast enough to me even from another market. I’m thinking that means even faster performance in the target market.
My only general feedback (if helpful) is I wasn’t sure where to click at first when the page loaded.
OK test info;
note if helpful - Without logging in, when I click view lots no images appear on the results page, but I can tap any of the unloaded thumbs to view the light box and that loads immediately
PPS the site is shown in screenshots above as “darkened” by Noir, a popular iOS night mode plugin. I find it is good to test in this mode as we see a lot of visitors using this type of plugin and many menus and buttons disappear when using it.
PPPS the site feels solid on most pages when scrolling, but on the search results/lot view list results the page scrolls side to side a bit as I try to scroll downwards (iPhone 12 mini). Might have something in that page layout that is over the width of these narrow phones?
Thanks for the reply… WOW… its seem like Iphone… and the “darkened” by Noir… just ignores they stylesheets completely at least the client will have the option to use a JPG or PNG… for the demo i just used a JPG… but thanks for sharing the sceenshots…
mmm… its a auction site… so might not be obvious where to click… but if you on these sites all the time… then its obvious when you know what you looking for … i hope…
mmm … still some tweaks to be done… but getting there…
I have tested this on safari… windows… and android and the images came up… on all of them… might be an iphone thing… ill have to steal one somewhere to check… why its then not showing the image…
Could have just been the joy of testing a site that is under active development… I have tried on a few different test devices now and the images are loading for me every time now, even on the original iPhone
All good here in sunny Portugal! I'd make one suggestion, in Bidding History, if you could be taken to the item upon click within the table row... Aside from that suggestion, looks great @Mozzi! Nice job.
