Problems setting up node

I have followed the instructions to set up nodeJS on cPanel.
The error I’m getting is:
{“status”:“404”,“message”:"/ not found."}

does anyone have any idea what will be causing this?

Thanks for the information. This already helped me a lot. Do you have any idea why I get {"status":"404","message":"/index.html not found."} I created a fresh site like @psweb. Could it be something with cache? I only have ejs files, no index.html

this indicates that mode is running correctly but one of two issues probably exist

1. The application within application manager is not properly set up, try deleting and the re-creating
2. No route exits for the route "/"
