Paragraph text appearing backwards

Expected behavior

Text should be left to right

Actual behavior

What actually happens?

Test is backwards, right to left

Not seen this in a while but it is still lurking in the system!

  1. Add paragraph to column
  2. select paragraph text
  3. Type text

Actually did a restart with logging when this first surfaced and it still remained after restart

It is intermittent so is difficult to reproduce on demand.

Yes, had it twice over the weekend. been there for a long time

I wonder if it is a Windows specific bug? I can honestly say that I have never had this happen.

Well we investigated it a while ago and it turned out to be a rare chrome bug when text editing in some bare HTML elements.

Do happens only on special elements so it occurs rarely.

We are still waiting for chrome devs to fix it.

What element were you trying to text edit?

I can’t remember now, but I’ll keep a note… I have a feeling that it generally works with paragraph tags, and most often when you first open a file… but I’ll let you know more as it happens again!

Still happening. Seems to occur after moving source around within a page in code view. Then when you go to edit text, lets say within a p tag, in the page it displays backwards. Intermittent, hard to pin down, happens a couple of times a day.

It is a known problem, but it is very difficult to reproduce. And when I was able to reproduce it and try to pinpoint it, it again does not do it. This makes it almost impossible to fix, I hope to improve it in the future by rewriting the whole part that takes care of the inline editing.

The worst kind of problem. Its not an issue here Patrick (can live with it). A little backwards text keeps me on my toes!

Still occurring in 4.0.1:

EDIT: Appears the text is not in the row (my bad)… Maybe there lays the issue?

Still have this issue occurring in 4.1.1… Happens occasionally no specific way to re-create it, just pops its head up now and again.
