NodeJS Hosting

I am considering starting with NodeJs. I am looking for a "value for money" hoster who can host .nl-domains and I found Hostinger.
Does anyone have any experience with them or can recommend another host?

I would highly recommend to use Hetzner with Wappler promo code.
They have varieties of locations to host in Europe.

Hostinger is "fine" but I wouldn't recommend them. There's far cheaper and better options out there.

Any website host can host any domain, whether that's .nl or .com, you're probably just looking at a bundle that includes both a domain and hosting which are normally terrible value. You can simply purchase the domain anywhere, and then use it at pretty much any hosting company. You can use TLD list to see who the cheapest registrar for .nl domains is: Cheapest .nl Domain Registration, Renewal, Transfer Prices | TLD-List - I highly recommend Porkbun for domains.

Edit: I see you linked specifically to VPS. If you want a VPS, there are far, far, better options than Hostinger.

Thanks for the rapid reply. However ordinary hosting will not support NodeJs development as far as I understand.

Ordinary hosting, like cPanel, supports NodeJS if the host as support for it. It's a little outdated by now, but see https://community.wappler.io/t/ultimate-hosting-comparison-info-list-for-wappler-projects/ - If you just look at various cPanel hosts they'll usually state somewhere on the main page if they support NodeJS.

If you haven't used Linux or a VPS before, starting with hosting a production site definitely isn't recommended. It'll be unmanaged (unless specified otherwise)- there's a lot that comes with it.

I recently hosted my first public NodeJS app on OrangeHost after seeing @Hyperbytes post and great tutorial about them. So far, I'm loving it and it only cost me $13.35 for the whole first year with their "Micro" package. Lots of things included that some other hosting companys charge extra for. Also, if you like his tutorial and go with Orangehost, @Hyperbytes has an affiliate link which I used to help a fellow developer out.

Do not go with a shared servers. Use a VPS.
There are many free/cheap options.

You can use Oracle/IBM forever-free tiers to start with as well. Free VPS with generous limits.
Although they might require setting up firewalls etc.

Other options are OrangeHost, as mentioned above, Amazon Lightsail, Hetzner, Digital Ocean, Linode, Vultr etc.

Do not opt for shared hosting from Hostinger etc. VPS options from these primarily shared hosting providers are costlier as well, from what I have seen.

We use Vultr for our dev servers.
