Unless I'm going mad, the offcanvas/modal 'open' state is not available in the data pickers - could it be added please?
Can you provide more details and maybe some screenshots regarding where you are picking from?

Not the show/hide action. I’m looking for the ‘open’ state. You can find it in dmx.app.data e.g. modal1.open or offcanvas1.open but not in the picker

Thanks Ben, I use a lot of offCanvas and modals. (thus I voted for it). I am very curious as to an actual use case for this. Maybe it will open some possibilities for me. 
I sometimes use conditional regions, particularly for contact forms, as layer of protection from bot filling. If the offcanvas containing the form is not shown, the form isn’t rendered making it harder (but certainly not impossible) to find and fill in.
I’ve used conditional regions in a similar way to reduce resource loading until they’re required (i.e. when the modal/offcanvas are opened)
