When using the Execute query button within a custom query, it should perform its tasks.
Use a custom query from within a Remote Development target.
Note that using a local development target works fine.

No this won’t unfortunately work for remote targets.
Because on each run a temporary query file have to be uploaded, server restarted and then run.
So not really wise for remote live targets.
We probably need to restrict that. Just as editing any server connect actions on live environments.
Best practice is to develop and test everything on local development target and then just deploy to remote.
