Comments in App Connect (not rendered, available only in wappler UI)

Hey everybody,

I started making a feature request for this but realized that already exists one from @Hyperbytes long time ago…

I suppose that developing a “complex” project creates the need for keeping comments of what you did, with what order, “tricks” you used and things like that… Like comments works in serverconnect.
Of course we can use commenting <!-- your comments here... --> in our page but that will be available for any user opening this page on browser. That’s not what we want in most of the cases!!
It could be nice the comments to be visible inside wappler UI only…

So, please vote here:

App connect comments component

As Wappler grows and application get bigger I find myself more and more needing to add comments to pages via app connect in the same way as we can in Server Connect. After all, how many of us actually produce detailed documentation for every page or later have to spend time working out what we did on a site several months ago? Now obviously i can add comments to the HTML but it would be really useful to be able to: 1, See comment entered into the html code as a comments component within APP …

There are some request about comments and also people use regular html sections for this and better organization:

"Group" component for grouping non-html elements on page

Certainly item 3 is easy to achieve. Just add a ‘section’ component to your page and put all your variable in there. I’m pretty sure there’s lots of us that use that method to organise our pages. You can even convert them to conditional regions if you want them not to be rendered at all in some circumstances: [image]

Thanks @george, that’s very good but its a structural tactic…
I’m talking about opening a “heavy” project after your client asked for changes, after 6 months or a year and try to understand what, how , why…
