Assets updater not showing Update button

Expected behavior

The Update button should be visible on the Project Assets Updater when there are assets to be updated.

Actual behavior

Sometimes the button does not show.

How to reproduce

I believe this happens when switching projects.

First shows like this:

After I click Change Channel, the Update button appears:

Is this only without the experimental options on?

Experimental was off when reported, and if I turn Experimental on the issue does appear to go away.
