It makes me sad to see these type of things:

Bubble and pure nocode solutions have abstracted so much the technical stuff going on that regular users are so lost after the rug under their feet is pulled away. They can’t fathom out the complexity of how things are built. Poor guy. He is in for a big surprise.

It’s like watching a little kid that got his training wheels removed just now be thrown into a conventional road without any assistance.

That’s why I think, among other reasons, that pure nocode isn’t the right solution for non-technical people.

I don’t understand what do users like this think - bubble going under, with that many users, tied to it? I don’t think so, it’s like 500 or 1000 people in their community complaining about the pricing changes … and even if all of them whining leave, bubble is not going anywhere.
Do the users think bubble didn’t plan this well enough? Of course they did  Last thing that’s going to happen is they go under and “open source” the project

But this situation is good for ex-bubble users, so they can learn about other products in this growing market.

 it’s pretty obvious that Bubble leadership has made a highly calculated decision to shift its market focus to increase revenue and cut dead weight. And not “duuuh let’s do random pricing thing and go bust duuuh”

I think a lot of people are just very lost and don’t really know what to do. I saw someone/somehwere saying that a group of people are crowd sourcing to “build their own Bubble”. Oh bless them.

They are a little naive; there’s a reason Bubble is ten years old, raised 100M, and still has many improvements to make before it’s best of breed.

It’s obvious they’ve made a business decision to focus more on enterprise clients and that it’s not worth continuing to cater to individuals with startup ideas. It’s sad because that was their initial community, but it’s been clear for years that Bubble was going to continue to push for larger customers.

All honesty I’m surprised by that decision. Bubble.io was leading the pack interms of adoption, I really thought just trying to keep the vast community there would be the priority, especially with how much the community expands the capability of the app. I imagine people looking into no code something advance, bubble.io would have to be the first pick, and their system locks you in so well, surprised they arent using that to milk it

It all started when Bubble took their first money from the investors. Every buck should be at least doubled.

But here is quite a good analysis regarding new Bubble pricing policy: https://www.flusk.eu/blog/analysis-of-bubble-io-new-pricing-model
