I always find these threads forget that the team is under no obligation to tell the community (and their competitors) all that drives their choices in resource allocation. Product roadmap, business metrics, long term strategy, forum analytics, lifestyle preferences, etc., should drive their choices.
I’m not saying people shouldn’t chime in ( it is valuable), but I am saying, none of us has all the information, nor should we.
Maybe the team has very good data points indicating documentation is not their biggest problem? Maybe they are having trouble filling the top of the sales funnel? Maybe they don’t want to endlessly create documentation they know will be outdated based on their roadmap?
Or maybe, just maybe, they have limited resources and have no desire to grow faster than bootstrapping allows, because it gives them the lifestyle they enjoy, let’s them do the work that makes them happy, and will adjust when that is no longer viable.
I really don’t care if Wappler is popular or not… sincerely, if more people enter this community, what we have today (a united and focused group of people) will be gone, yes, I’m selfish…LOL
