Would this config cause issues with not being able to connect to a remote target?

Are you having an issue with connecting to a remote target? I don't believe the connection issue is related to the Ubuntu version. I'm experiencing a similar issue when trying to use Resources Manager to deploy docker and project on a remote server running Ubuntu v24.04.

What's the error you are getting when trying to connect to a remote target?

Hi guptast,
Yes!! I have working this problem for 2 weeks now.

Really struggling to make any progress but George has been assigned to this problem in my other post, this might be of use to you: Importing DO server gives no access in Resource Manager - #13 by JBM

What error messages are you getting...it would be good to compare notes

Hi JBM,

I am experiencing an issue with a custom remote server (Vultr). When I run System Check, the process fails after a couple of minutes. The error also doesn't provide much information. I believe George is looking into this issue as well.

Yes when checking connection in the remote target it starts the process but takes minutes to complete, hangs or just fails...good luck with yours, just out of interest how do you find vultr, have you tried DigitalOcean?

As my project is near completion I want to make sure I made the right decision with DO...

I trialled Digital Ocean for a couple of months. I have found Vultr performance slightly better with lower latency (Melbourne / Sydney datacentres). I run projects on Vultr's Intel High Frequency instances, which also seem to offer better I/O and read/write ops.

DO is a good choice. If Vultr offers datacentres in the same or similar locations as DO, then you can trial it for a month or so before making the final decision. Please note that at this stage, Vultr is available only as a Custom Server option in the Resources Manager.

Thanks guptast I generally like DO due to it's simplicity so unless I can never again get a remote connection i'll stick with them :joy:
