What is the best way to store posts and comments in a Wappler database?

How should I save social media posts and their comments in the database when building an app with Wappler?

Is this for your own internal commenting? Or for actual social media posts from X or Facebook etc..?

Hi Suhab,

Welcome to Wappler, great to have you here.

Your question is a pretty broad one, and that’s completely normal when you’re just getting started. Wappler gives you a lot of freedom in how you structure things, so the “best way” often depends on the type of app you’re building, how you want to query your data, and what kind of relationships you’ll need later.

A good starting point is to keep things simple: one table for posts, one for comments, and link them with a post_id. As your project grows, you can refine the structure.

Since you’re new to Wappler, don’t hesitate to lean on the community, people here are very helpful. And yes, using AI can make learning smoother. It won’t replace understanding the platform, but it can definitely help you explore options, explain concepts, or generate examples while you’re figuring things out.

Have you had a look at the Wappler YouTube channel, in particular:
