Wappler Version : 7.2.2
What do you think should happen?
After adding action step, it should remain visible in UI as well as code view.
What actually happens?
All steps disappear from UI after file save, but codes are visible in code view.
Go to Webhooks > Add custom event action > add step and save the file. Everything will disappear from UI but when You open the file in code view/editor. Everything is there.

might be related to the context menu not directly selecting the underlying node, which will be fixed in the next update

This should now be fixed in Wappler 7.3
This issue is not fixed in Wappler 7.3.0. Please look into this. In fact now It’s deleting steps from code view also.

Could you make a short video of the steps exactly?
Note: When action file is closed and reopened and then saved, code is empty.

Just tried exactly the same and it works fine for me.
Could you reproduce it with debug log on? Maybe also try to work in the flow view, see if it happens there
