As announced a few days ago here
Presenting WDP the Wappler Deployment Pipeline.
This IS NOT A DIRECT REPLACEMENT for Wappler deployments (WDP does not currently support LAMP stacks). This is a standalone tool, a Docker container and service, for Node JS and Docker based Wappler Projects. It works alongside Wappler and NEVER OVERWRITES your Wappler Targets or deployment configurations (WDP stores its own profiles for deployment in the Project root directory in its own 'wdp' directory). There is a rollback feature in the application however (best practice is to BACKUP at the host level if you are concerned).
Before you go ahead and download this application and use it ALWAYS BACKUP ANY PROJECTS FIRST, just as a precaution. Read the instructions carefully. IT IS NOT FOR EVERYBODY!
We have tested it on dozens of Projects in Wappler ourselves and it was built upon our own internal pipeline that we, as a company, use to deploy our Docker Node JS applications, to Digital Ocean predominately. Digital Ocean and WDP work great together, and we'll add support for other hosts such as Railway and Hetzner etc in the near future (WDP does have a VPS deploy option, as well as a local Docker deploy option, alongside the Digital Ocean deployment for provisioning new Droplets or connecting to existing droplets).
We built the Project to circumnavigate the Let's Encrypt (Traefik)/Redis Docker 29.* issues which we have been experiencing. WDP overcomes these issues so deployments which combine these services work and are reliable. Besides that there are also many other features you may well find helpful like additional add-ons and security tools (again I can not emphasise enough to backup if you are unsure of the changes you are making and the consequences of them). WDP does notify you of risks and will backup various files for you should you select to accept such changes.
With the above all said and done below is a link to the Git Repo for the Project and a link to my website which also describes its use-case.
This is a BETA release that I would appreciate feedback on please...
If you do find it useful you can always Buy Me a Coffee which helps to fund other such Projects I can then offer for FREE!
