Yes only docker desktop is not running. Publish to remote docker might work.
You can run node locally it just installs the x86 versions with the dependencies that run fine under Rosetta.
Wappler runs also fine under Rosetta for now.

Don’t know if you saw earlier but Docker had an All-hands Webinar where they announced initial technical preview of M1 support in Docker Desktop!
On that news, I’m ordering. Have to wait 5/6 weeks here in Aus for a 16gb one though!
Here is the latest info about docker:
I usually use an iMac, but I would need a laptop to be able to move around easily
Obviously I would prefer a 16 “, but at the moment there is only a MacBook Pro 13” M1. and with a lower cost MacBook Air M1.
What do you think of a MacBook Air M1 for use Wappler and Photoshop?
M1 on mac mini is doing a great job for Wappler and Photoshop + Lightroom (even though Photoshop/Lightroom are not yet optimized for M1 chips!) as well as Davinci Resolve for video editing!
No slow downs, no full ram, no freezes. Been using it for 10 days already - no complains.
i think also for MacBook Air M1 everything can be ok as for Mac Mini M1 thanks
Yes, they’re using the same processor
so I think everything should be perfect there as well.
I got the 16" MBP this time last year when it first came out and I’m thinking the new 13" Air M1 will actually perform better. But I’m not bitter!
Same here, but I have no issues with the performance of the MB Pro. I'll stick with my 16" monitor.
I don’t have any issues, either. But it seems to indicate the new Air is a perfectly good solution for even hardcore applications.
I got my Mac Mini with the M1 on last Monday and I‘m pretty impressed how fast and smooth everything runs. I didn‘t check Photoshop yet. Final Cut Pro runs a lot faster with 4K editing than my previous 15,4‘‘ Mac Book Pro. Wappler, NodeJS & Navicat runs with Rosetta so fast that you don‘t even recognize that the Software is not yet Apple Silicon native.
8 GB or 16 GB your Mini M1?
I ordered the smallest version with 8GB to test
who knows if for Mini 1 or MacBook M1 it will be possible to replace the memory from 8 to 16 in case of need?
It’s not possible to replace the RAM, as it’s integrated in the chip.
Thanks Teodor, as usual the cost of Macs rises significantly if you choose larger SSD disks
I have long mounted a 1 TB Crucial SSD on iMac and it has always worked great
Who knows if with M1 it is possible to replace the SSD disk with third-party components without problems?
Surely the problem is the guarantee, but the costs are very different
1 TB as an Apple replacement costs 460 €
1 TB Crucial costs € 112 and remains the original drive to use as an external drive
It won't be possible to do this
Get a 256GB version and attach an external usb-c sdd/hdd - would be much cheaper ![]()
https://www.lacie.com/it/it/products/mobile-drive/ - 4TB price is Eur 180
That’s what I did. Works great!
I also have a MacBook Pro, from a few years ago, that my daughter uses, to which I replaced the disk with an SSD without problems
If you choose a MacBook M1, an external drive becomes annoying
Apple does not contradict itself
