Wappler Version : 7.9.2
Operating System : MacOS
Server Model: php
Database Type: mysql
Opening a file, scrolling through the file, copy&paste, opening and working with multiple files, saving and closing multiple files are way too slow. I’m working on a MacPro with 48GB RAM and working with many projects open/close again makes Wappler harldy usable.
How slow is it for you and which actions do take much time? As George mentioned we can fix issues when we have identified them, but we will need more feedback than just saying it is slow.
@patrick I can see you removed fixed in next update tag
That means you still need more info about this?
Saving pages, takes 3-4 seconds
Opening Data binding popups, takes 1-2 seconds
Wappler software itself needs more time to be ready..
Also not sure if it's related, but after being using it for some time, creating a page just create a single blank file.. Mention this here, because it happens when Wappler becomes slow..
When Wappler is getting that slow generally then usually a fresh reinstall from scratch will help as it will clear all chrome caches and partitions that get slow over time. Follow:
@George already done that, I tried to recreate the issue with a video, but can't find anything on log..
Will try to inspect a little further this week or upload a video with a log anyway so you can see how slow Wappler is now..
This is happening on two different devices with windows 10 and 11..
They have 16gb ram which is not a nasa computer but I'm able to recognize that now is more slow than before
Also but not sure if it's related, disk space is very consumed when using Wappler for a long time..
ok @george I reinstalled from scratch other than not deleting the configuration folder. And its still slow as all get out. Does anyone know the version the slowness started? I could roll back to that version. Its just taking way longer to do anything than I have had to do previously….
@brad did you mean 7.9.2 or 7.9.1? Thinking of rolling back my version. Just don’t know how far back to roll back? I originally thought it was because I left so many files open. But I closed them all and still had issue. So its tough to figure out where the slowness started.
I rolled back to 7.7.9, as I already had a copy of that downloaded and it definitely seems better. So I’ll wait for the next update on Thursday and see if it’s any faster?
