Do you mean the new extensions files have been applied to your project - i.e. the new js files were copied to your project folder when installing the inline updates?
You know the blue text that appears when a new Wappler version is available and you click it to update? The same appeared for “3 extension updates available”, and I clicked it, and it updated the extension files right away (the JS files were supposedly copied to my project folder, yes)
A couple of versions back we introduced inline updates for the extensions in Wappler. We can provide extension updates at any time, through our CDN and Wappler will show the updates available as a blue text on top right part of the window. This means you no longer need to wait for the weekly Wappler update to get the extensions updates.
This is different than the project files updater, which appears on project startup or by calling it using its icon. The project fileс updater dialog appears when there are new versions of the files used in your project and you can choose which ones to update and whether to update them at all.
So just to confirm - the inline update of the 3 extensions from Tuesday not only updated the extensions in Wappler, but also placed the new js files in your site local folder?
I think it’s set to list the changes on hover of the text. I would agree, if this is your point, that there should be a confirmation modal listing the changes when the text is clicked - it’s easy to click before the tooltip has appeared/been noticed and miss the chance to see what has changed.
Just tested this with the beta, it doesn't place new JS files in the site local folder. It does give a notification like "Project updated" or something like that's what lead to believe me it did something to the project, but looks like nothing was changed to the project files
Also, thanks for explaining the inline updates - I personally think the extension updates were not explained well to users (all I know are custom extensions people build and put in Wappler and project file updates)
Edit:
I confirm this happens, but it's very easy to miss it like you said
