Wappler 7 Beta 15: Node server not closed correctly when switching project

When switching between projects in the same Wappler window, the Node server does not close itself correctly, and shows "port 3000 in use" error.
After switching, I have to manually kill the server using provided option in bottom, and start it again in the new project for it to initialize.

NOTE: This is not about multiple project windows, but switching between projects in the same window.

Hi Sid,

On what OS is that and does it happen every time?

This happens to me too whenever I switch between projects, and I am using Windows 11 Pro and Wappler 6.8.0.

Windows 11 Pro.
Sorry, I completely forgot to fill out this preliminary data in all my bug requests today.

This has been reported before and I see it on Mac OS too. Annoying, but easily solved:

Yes, this has been an old issue.. but not reliably reproducible.
In the beta version, there is some other issue where its repeatedly causing this issue when switching projects.

Couldn't really reproduce the issue in the latest beta. When switching projects, all terminals and running services are closed first.

Could you enable debug log, restart Wappler, reproduce the issue and then send us the debug log?

I did it, but unable to find the log file. Where is it stored for beta?

It is the same folder as the regular Wappler:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Wappler\logs

Was able to generate the logs on second try.
But there are no errors logged. Sending it to you over message.

Also, the error is no longer happening always. Not sure what changed. But it does happen randomly. Maybe try to change projects a bit fast?

Fixed in Wappler 7 beta 16
