What's New

While we’re busy developing the Wappler 8 beta, which is being built entirely in Rust, we’re continuing to make important improvements to Wappler 7. This release brings better search tools, a more reliable Experimental Git Manager, updated Docker runtime options, and fixes and improvements across App Connect and Server Connect.

Security remains a priority: recent attacks highlight the importance of keeping project runtimes and deployments current. We recommend using the latest PHP and Node.js versions, then updating and republishing your projects. For Docker projects, update to the latest image and redeploy. The new version options in this release make those updates easier to manage.

Search Manager

  • Added whole word search and search in open editors within the search manager

Docker PHP

  • Added more PHP versions to docker configuration up to 8.5 and also default now to 8.5 for new projects

Docker Manager

  • Removed NodeJS and PHP EOL versions from menus
  • Added NodeJS 24 and 26

In light of recent security attacks, it is advisable to use the latest PHP and Node.js versions and update and republish your projects. For Docker projects, update to the latest image and redeploy. The updated UI options help you manage these updates.

Experimental Git Manager

Improved reliability when managing changes, resolving conflicts, and signing in:

  • Checkout and reset now handle the Keep and Discard choices as expected.
  • Conflict actions now correctly apply and stage your choice. Discarding changes has one clear confirmation and explains when untracked files will be deleted.
  • Renamed files display correctly, and file checkout uses the correct destination.
  • Heroku sign-in no longer hangs. Saved credentials are recognized more reliably, and retries use the credentials you just entered.
  • Repository creation now reports errors and only marks a repository as created after setup succeeds.
  • Fixed the commit-message button and its Copilot-only visibility.
  • Git restore and cleanup operations now handle selected files and untracked files more reliably; full cleanup runs in sequence to avoid conflicts.

  • Updated to Express 5, WARNING: Somme route paths might now work as Express 5 is much more strict now.

    • No regular expressions are allowed in route paths
  • Updated several packages to latest version
  • Updated nano to latest version, this also removes axios dependency
  • Updated some packages to fix npm audit issues.
  • Fixed session loosing data after regenerateSessionId was called
  • Added support for astro like routing (using paths like /[locale]/[...slug].json)
  • Fixed incorrect conversion of optional parameters

Server Connect PHP 3.0.0

  • All PHP Server Connect files as separate extension, no changes further
