On a MacBook Pro I cannot quit Wappler. I have tried from. the dock, the status bar and the Menu.
Only way to quit Wappler is Force Quit.
After I force quit and restarted Wappler 4 I was able to close again using the status bar but not dock or menu.

yes yesterday i had the same problem with mac book (m1).
Will be improved in the next beta
