Great major update for you this week with a great surprise for you!

Please welcome the new Theme Manager! Now you can finally fully customize Bootstrap 4 design completely to your needs!

We have integrated a high speed Sass compiler in Wappler so fully theme compilation and generation takes a split second to produce!

Also we have created great Theme Manager panel where you can choose ready to go color themes, select great looking Google fonts and much more!

So now you have full control of the customization of Bootstrap 4!

Note that this is an experimental feature so you need to turn your experimental settings on to see it.

New Wappler Theme Manager

  • Implemented great looking Theme Manager panel with all options you need for Bootstrap 4 theming
  • Added Native SASS compiler for blazing speed theme compilation!
  • 14 predefined color themes included
  • Choose any Google font with the great looking Google Font Picker! Now you can browse trough all the Google Fonts directly in Wappler and see their preview.
    Also you can filter and choose the right font settings. Fonts are automatically included in your theme
  • Choose also powerful options like borders, rounding and spacing to completely make your own look and feel.
  • Do amazing things with gradients, shadows and responsive font sizes! Now you can just enable them on your Bootstrap 4 theme!
  • Fully generate and replace the current local Bootstrap 4 Theme - so make sure you have a Bootstrap 4 Local applied first.
  • Added Full Theme Preview in Design View - just use the eye icon and a full theme preview will open in Design View
  • On each change the full theme is auto generated, compressed and AutoPrefixer is applied if you have it selected on your Wappler settings.
  • You can always revert to the default Bootstrap 4 theme by clicking on the trashcan icon.

Wappler 2.8.1

Just a quick update in between to add more power to the Theme Manager as you requested and squashed some bugs you reported.

New Wappler Theme Manager

  • Greatly optimized performance and squashed some heavy bugs causing Wappler to crash :slight_smile:
  • Added support for background color theming
  • Improved supplied theme presets to also include the background color
  • Better aligned the background color bullets on the preset themes
  • A nice dark theme is included
  • Sass variables can now be used in expressions
  • Fixed bug with Theme Manager replacing the Route Picker dialog
  • Added new Build Theme for Production icon for final theme build with compression and autoprefixer
  • Regular Auto Generation of the theme now quickly builds the theme for preview
  • Added animated status in the toolbar of the Theme Manager indicating clearly what is going on and status

Design View

  • Improved injecting of the style file in design view of content pages
  • Minor improvements in content pages handling

General

  • Improved adding components to content pages - registration on the comment tag is much cleaner now

Wappler 2.8.2

Another urgent Wappler update to address a critical issue.

After a deep investigation in the weekend and thanks to your detailed reports, we found a critical issue in the Microsoft Monaco Editor. It was causing a lot of freezes, crashes and memory problems.

Happily we have managed to fix it in Wappler so it doesn’t happen any more.

We are very sorry for that, the issue has been reported to Microsoft.

We also fixed some other issues:

  • Fixed Dynamic Bindings with Formatters in Server Connect to be properly enclosed in {{ }} when experimental settings are off
  • Applied visual expression builder to more property types in server connect
  • Improved visual expressions in nested complex property inspectors
  • Added various speed and memory optimizations
