What’s New

Get ready for Git Version Control!

Now you can empower full version control in Wappler! Useful to keep progress but also backup of all your Wappler projects.
Local git repository for your project can be easily created with single click and you can instantly start to commit changes.
We have greatly improved the File Manager with much more visual styling and icons and greatly improved its responsiveness, speed and functionality.

Both features are experimental, so you have to make sure you have the experimental setting on and restart Wappler to see them.

So check it out and let us know what you think!

Git Version Control

New Git Manager panel on the left side, that allows you to:

  • Create a new local Git repository for your current project if you haven’t any yet
  • Explore your commit history
  • Shows you a full list of all modified files, ready for commit
  • Easy manage the commit files list, add a log message and commit
  • Explore nicely all the commit history.
  • Integrate closely also with the file manager for easily file changes revert to last commit

New File Manager

  • Rich icons set of colored icons depending on the file type
  • Much smarter file change detection refreshing the tree automatically when new files are created, even outside of Wappler
  • Integrate also with Git version control and showing the modified files in different colors and a flag (M/A) on the right.
  • Improved context menu with new options
  • Show/Hide option the the context menu
  • Show upload option only when remote target is FTP
  • Removed the expanded FTP View, as it was rarely used and we are also moving more to centralized publishing and deploy

Installer

  • Improved Mac inline update installer
  • The “Check for Updates” option on the tray menu now shows an alert when no new update is available

Database Connector & Updater

  • Improved Custom Queries and SQL Parameters in ASP.NET and SQL Server
  • Fixes for custom queries and the is not null rule
  • Fixed identity retrieval bug

Bootstrap 4

  • Fixed small error in the Popovers code
