The only German software I have ever used was something called HELIOS on a spark 20 file server that cost 160k ZAR, 20 years ago, to give perspective at the same time a semi decent PC was 8k. The Helios software was an additional 40k ZAR, and I had to put the IT guy from Germany in a hotel for 3 days to setup and install everything. Then I purchased an AUDI a few years later, and had some substantial repair bills. Now I avoid German engineering at all costs, and get my dose of “Vorsprung durch Technik” directly from Wappler.

@JonL, i can imagine, those guys used. to make a killing, now days not so much.
