The 2 side panels

Hi there,

I am wondering if it's possible to switch the sides of the two side panels. They currently occupy a significant portion of my screen. I tried dragging them to adjust their size, but there seems to be a limitation beyond which they can't be reduced further.

Thank you!

Hi Ahmed, welcome aboard.

The various panel can be closed by clicking on the relevant items.

As an example, when working on the front end, there is no need to have the left panel open. Click on the Manager that is current and the panel will close. Conversely, working on the backend, you can close the App Connect panel by clicking on the chevron.

I hope that helps.

Further to Ben's answer, there are some very useful shortcuts for these panels, which close in a similar way to what Ben described: if you use the shortcut for the current panel, the panel will close. Eg you can press Alt+F to display the Files panel; pressing it again will hide the panel.

Panel shortcuts include:
Alt + F (Files)
Alt + S (Server Actions)
Alt + T (Theme Manager)
Alt + D (Database Manager)
Alt + G (Git Manager)

(I think these are the most useful shortcuts, and very well chosen. If you use your thumb for the Alt key, you can access all the shorcuts without moving your hand - at least on Windows.)
