Switch from Windows 10 to Linux

So I wanted to switch my OS over to Linux. Right now I am working under Windows 10.

I already found this topic here: Moving Wappler to Linux, need to copy projects from windows but no one really answered this guy.

Will there be any obstacles, does anyone have experience with this?
Will there be issues with my NodeJS project if I just pull it over to an USB-Stick and then fire up wappler on my new (e. g. debian) distro?

Not many obstacles to swapping over to Linux. Some newer hardware is still lacking support but for the most part everything is very straight forward these days.

If Projects are hosted on a Provider such as Digital Ocean you will need to copy your SSH keys directory (if you forget you can generate new key pairs though). Some other considerations are backing up any DB connections in tools like Navicat or Workbench (pain in the backside adding them if you have more than a couple), any bookmarks you have in your browser (I once lost years worth of bookmarks and it hurt me)., if you use tools like FTP then backup all your connections there too (Filezilla etc)...

What distro are you considering? I'm an Ubuntu User and more than happy with Wappler and its performance, everything looks and feels great! If you need any help or guidance on this am happy to assist.

Most likely I will go with Debian, I don't know it yet though.

Good to know that everything works fine!

Thank you very much for offering your help. If I run into problems with Wappler on Linux I will write you a message  !

Ubuntu is built upon Debian. If you are new to Linux Ubuntu is great, even if you're an old hand it is still a nice distro. Yep, just hit me up and will help any way I can @R4v3n
