Wrestling with summernote’s many idiosyncrasies and now trying to include a standard paste button - can’t find a config for it …
Anyone know ??

Do you mean a paste button in the toolbar?
Looking at summernote docs, i don’t see such an option. You could just use ctrl+v/cmd+v or right click > paste.
Yes I mean a paste button in tool bar. Seems like a crazy thing to miss out on. I wish there was a better option than summer note
To be honest i can’t remember the last time i saw a “paste” button in a toolbar of an editor or app 
Maybe in some really old version of MS Word … you can easily do ctrl+v/cmd+v without the need of another click.
I still remember the WordStar short cut commands from the 1980s. Maybe I should recommend those as options
