Seeing a bit of conversation on text messaging today.
What I would like to do is have my job coaches send our clients text message reminders about appointments or new job openings.
Ideally the contact cell number would come from a database and the staff would fill out a simple textarea and send the message to the client’s phone. Is this possible with Wappler or would I need a third party API? If so, which one?
My dashboard that I want to install this on is done with PHP.
You will need to purchase SMS credits from 3rd party SMS service provider which allows sending SMS via API. Then, in Wappler SA, just configure an API action to send SMS.
I might look at Twilio soon as I have free credits, I can share the API’s in here when I do
Just ask what type of phone they have when they sign up, and then just format the number and send via email to text. We do it all the time.

Thats quite interesting. But does this cover few regions and carriers, so not a 100% solution.
Yeah I Guess this is mostly USA, I’m not sure about other parts of the world. I just went and found the other carriers that aren’t listed here and just added their formatting. But we don’t have huge amounts of people that we have to send to. But this has worked quite well for us.
