I hope there is a solution for this scenario. First I use the basic version of Wappler 6.0
I used to own lots of DMX plugins in the day. One of those plugins was file genie and the other was slideshow. The nice thing with file genie is I could point my slideshow to a folder and tell it to use all of the images from that folder for my slideshow. As I added/removed them it would do the same for the slideshow.
Now looking at Wappler 6.0 I see the slideshow option and you can do do static adds. I see you can do client side data binding to query a DB. So i defined in global DB and in project pointed it to a MySQL DB. I tested it and all is good there. However; I don’t think you can connect to it web page to a DB from that way. I very well maybe mistaken.
My hope is to get the same I used to do with file genie and I can just drop in new images and have them automatically pick them up on my web page.
i would rather not have to add them to a DB and would just simply like to say every image from this folder add to the slideshow.
Is this even possible with basic? I would rather not have to upgrade to the pro version as right now I am not that advanced nor do I have that need yet.
