Shortcut keys problems

these work fine.
but, whether you select an element or just press esc, the focus goes away from the design view in either case - one cannot use arrow keys to move between the elements on design view.

“D” doesn’t work at all. A, B & I work just fine.

What exactly do you mean? How do you “select an element”?
What should happen when you hit escape?

It would be best to provide a step-by-step explanation so that we can recreate it.

  1. select an element by mouse click.
  2. press “A” on keyboard - the popup opens to select new element.
  3. search for and then choose an element by mouse click.
  4. the popup closes on selection.
  5. now the focus is not on design view - if we press the arrow keys to select another element in design view, it does not work.
  6. we have to select the element by mouse click.

in step 3 if you do not choose any element and just press ESC without adding an element to close the popup and go back to the design view, still problems in 5 & 6 remain.

Ok, thanks for the explanation. @patrick will check this.

I know that there is a problem with the focus not returning to design view after you insert an element, we will try to improve this in a later update.

The duplicate is CTRL+D on Windows/Linux and CMD+D on Mac. Small mistake in the post.
