Shortcut key F10 no longer works - to open Main Menu

Pressing F10 should bring up the Main Menu

Press F10

I rarely use this menu as shortcut keys are assigned to most menu items - except the item I want most often: 'recent files'. This is now particularly useful because of the 'Clear Recent Files' option. I often want to remove all the clutter from the very useful Quick Open and start from scratch; as far as I know, this is the only way to do it. Even better would be an option within Quick Open to clear the files.
