I am making an app where many images will be saved, I would like to start using next gen image formats for performance, such as WebP, but only have save options in server connect for jpg, png, gif or auto.
Are there plans currently to add WebP, jpeg 2000 and the likes.
Sadly not, I am waiting on Wappler to implement newer formats, although I imagine there would be a few ways I could do this by either using an API service or for that matter the built in imagemagic on the server.
To be honest I did not fiddle very much with this at all, but now that my site is done I may test out some optimization ideas on images for speed improvements.

Its not a train smash… but i voted for your request… because every bit of optimization here in Africa helps i guess with speed… when one cant afford cloud based dedicated servers… hahahah yes that is me…
