Currently if you turn off Show Hover it also turns off the hovering for errors. I think generally people always want to be able to hover over errors to see what they are so it would make more sense for those to not be part of the Show Hover toggle.

I agree the hover on errors is useful. The hovers on code is annoying. Separating them would be awesome.
