Publish project on Microsoft Azure

Hi everyone,
I’m trying to publish my project on in my Microsoft Azure account but something is not working right, the site is not visible.
First of all I created a new publication target in the settings indicating the FTP data for the connection
I have published the project
I tried verifying with an FTP client that the files were actually copied to the directory
But by typing the Azure address, the default page of the service appears.

I have activated webapp service on linux machine with runtime stack
Nodes - 18 lts

Can anyone help me figure out what I need to change?

Hello, have you ever solved your issue? I am trying to publish today, and I can't get the app to start. Your screenshot is simple. There is a file in the folder called "hostingstart.html." Rename that to hosting start.htmlx. That will get it overlooked. I'd love to know if you were ever able to get your application running on an app service. Let me know, please.

Hi, I managed to publish with the help of a systems engineer.
Soon I will have to publish another solution and I will try to send you the steps to make everything work.

I would really advise against using Microsoft Azure and AWS , because of the high hidden cost and difficulty to use.

You really should use fixed price solutions from Hetzner or Digital Ocean.
They offer much more powerful servers for just a few bucks a month!

Specially Hetzner is very low priced while their tech is top notch and they have plenty hosting locations around the world.

We also support them out of the box in Wappler.

Thanks for the valuable information George, I almost always work with SQL server, do these vendors also have database plans?

Yes Digital Ocean have also Managed Databases. See:

And you should definitely choose one of the open source databases like Postgres or MySQL/MariaDB which are just as performant as SQL Server but free to use.

Also when you have a server with Hetzner or Digital Ocean you can have your own database there with docker, so it won't cost you anything else but fixed price of the server - again just a few euro's per month.

Their database service is excellent for the price. Full encryption at rest, SSL connection, and backups are included.
