Product management tool, what do you use?

I’ve been using Coda.io for our product management. But like every tool out there, it has it’s fallacies.

I’m curious if there’s something better out there for these things:

  • Bug management (including public bug reporting)
  • Ticket management (preferably linked to something like Chatwoot, so there’s one inbox for client support - and it can be easily linked to a ticket in the software so when it’s finished it’s easy to contact the people waiting for it)
  • Public feature request board (using Fider now)
  • Connected to deployments… best idea now to link it to Wappler’s deployment is by integrating it with Github, and making sure I always give a certain tag when launching a new version

I found https://linear.app/ yesterday, this looks like something that can tick a few of these boxes.

Linear looks promising.
(I use Jira and Confluence for commercial projects, simple Things ToDos, Apple Notes and GitHub for private / side projects)

Just crossed my mind: TaskHeat. It’s a quite nice task management for single users for Mac and iPad. I liked the flowchart view, wich allows to visually display dependencies.

Thanks for sharing  Jira and Confluence I’ve never tried, they seem pretty industry standard - but with that also comes a daunting feeling that it might be overcomplicated.
I’m not on iOS sadly, that does look like a novel idea to visually show dependencies like that.

I use Todoist and Obsidian for personal task/knowledge management

Yes, It’s like Microsoft Office: there might be better tools for the job, but it’s the standard

I might try Linear for a side project, but most of the time it’s a simple todo list and notes app when it comes to planning, and then, when it comes to development, I use GitHub and GitHub Projects.
