Expected behavior

When editing items on a modal, the modal should remain on display in Design view

Actual behavior

Usually (but not always) the modal will disappear when a change is made.

How to reproduce

Create a modal. Select one of the two default buttons in Design view. Delete the button (eg by pressing the Delete key). The modal disappears. The change is made correctly, but it’s necessary to repeatedly reopen the modal to edit it.

I think this started with the latest update but it could have been before that.

Hi Tom,
Is any element focused/selected in App Structure, after you delete the button?

No - no element has focus. The button (or other element) had focus correctly before being deleted.

Ok i see. Maybe @patrick can improve this so that the parent element is focused.

This has actually been happening for months. Turning off App Connect Mode helps to keep it focused.

Thanks for the tip Brad. I’m not sure why I haven’t noticed it much until recently.
