No access to wappler websites after Windows 11 install

Have created 4-5 sites in Wappler and cannot access them through the wappler app after a Win 11 install. All files are still on drives but don't know how to assemble them in the app. Help please

Try to reinstall Wappler. All of the files should remain accessable after the reinstall.

If you didn't backup your .ssh folder from your Document folder or you didn't set in project settings to save our ssh keys in your project folder - you might have a problem - Can't connect to PROD after Windows reinstall - #15 by Notum

if you don't use docker you sites wil still be openable with "open from folder".
If using docker, unless you backed up still have your SSH keys you have a problem.

If you have lost your SSH keys you can generate a new key pair and upload to Digital Ocean and import them in to Wappler.

Makes sure you use the proper format. Wappler doesn't recognize all key formats.

Just getting back to ppl who sprang to my aid. Thanks. Windows Defender appears to have interposed, but it was probably also that I didn't know that the button would help me. Half of my icons were grayed out. When I turned off Defender all came right and a firewall exception for wappler.exe worked. SO thank you again. You're a great crowd. Know nothing about SSH keys - that's probably ahead of where I am. Enjoying wappler and doing well for a rookie. I have created 6 sites now... courtesy of wappler....

You would normally get a prompt when you install Wappler on windows to allow it through the firewall.

I guess for some reason this didn't happen (you didn't say no to the prompt did you?)

This is likely the cause of the problems you experienced and why turning defender resolved it but i would encourage you to fix the issue rather than turn of defender

Hi Brian,
Thank you.
I received no prompt that I remember. This was an install of Windows 11 over the top of Win 10 - which unfortunately had to become a fresh Win 11 install. However, for some reason wappler didn't need to be reinstalled in this process (don't ask me!) but I lost half my production space ( icons greyed out etc) and had to find my way to the "open existing folder" process (which I didn't know about. After I turned off Defender and got Wappler back, we turned on Defender and sorted out the exception for Wappler. So, Defender is back on. Don't like defender. I'm thinking of moving to an ESET security system which is easier to manage..

I confess i use defender personally but it is all down to personal choice.
Defender is free and takes zero management which i like.
