I am little bit lost. I read all the information on the forum about new users that are no no coders, but I still missing some information.
My goal: I want to make MVP, main use on phone and have option on web, for ideas that I have. I want to be fast doing that. I know that Wappler is not a 5 min do your app. But I do not want be 3 month to make it work(like bubble). I know a bit of html and css. I tried to learn Javascript, but was really hard. I tried to learn Flutter, but need it to investo so many hours, and I do not see myself working on one code for for month.
I know that there is a learning curve when you start with Wappler, but how long can take to be fast working with Wappler?
Wordpress - I have been working with wordpress for a lot of years. I was ok for somebody who does not know to code. And with Elementor the experience was really good. The things is, I am no interest anymore in websites.
Bubble - I was really excited about this tool. I started working on my app. It was crazy that you can do a login screen in 2 min. But than I spent 1 week to make a multiple filtering. And I couldn’t do it as I want it. Bubble is ok but is not that fast to make a good app.
Adalo - Nice for design but a limited in functions. And… you can not block the screen rotation.
Thunkable - Nice in fuctionalities, bad in design.
Glide - Amazing tool, but still limited. And do not support GDPR.
It is possible to do a quiz app?
Is the pro plan only for one app or as many you want?
What database/backend would you recomend for somebody who does not know to code?
It is possible to copy JS, F7, CSS, HTML code from internet libreries? To save time.
I am willing to learn Warpple, and if it takes me 2 o 3 months to undertand it, It is ok for me. But if later I can be fast.
You could use something like backendless and connect to it via APIs etc, but then you would be losing one of the main attractions to Wappler (the ability to own all the code / data and move it anywhere you like). You’ll also lose some of the built in ability within Wappler to perform DB validation checks etc and I can only imagine that further down the line the integration will get better and better (its already very good).
I love the look of services like backendless but when you start to look at things more closely things can start to get expensive real fast (I do not like anything that charges me per request, per iop(looking at you AWS and your “Simple Monthly Calculator”, etc etc). Personally I like to know my costs up front with good old fashion VPS providers or fixed cost cloud providers and just know that if I my app explodes I can just add more resources vertically or start looking at horizontally scaling out.
I would recommend the fantastic tutorial series from @mebeingken (https://learning.uniqueideas.com/) as a starting point to learning the ropes of wappler (this doesn’t cover App development but it will cover the Wappler way of working very well).
