New to Wappler (5.0) and need some tips

Hello Wappler Community

I am new to Wappler and coding world, i have watched some videos on YouTube and while doing comparisons with other no/low code platforms.

So far i think Wappler is awesome and is probably the best tool for app development. Currently, I’m learning HTML, CSS & Javascript while familiarizing myself with Wappler tools.

What advices do you have for your newbie into the wonderful world of Wappler & Coding?

Thanks in advance for all the tips.

NB: Pardon me if similar quizz was raised before.

I would start here to get some concepts right from the beginning.

By the way - there was a great learning course by Ken Truesdale for Wappler 3.0 https://uniqueideas.com/wappler-learning/ which was really great. But looks like this project and course are abandoned.

Thanks everyone, much appreciated.

I would say ask yourself why do you want to get into coding first. Is it to have fun and play around / curiosity, is it for career, or I just want a cheaper way to code up an idea of an application I have in my head.

There is no wrong answers here, just know that the path before you will take everything you got and more and the only way to triumphant is through persistent, stamina and consistency.

We are all in this together and the community here is very giving, so when you feel lost and confuse just remember somebody in this community have an answer and you are not alone.

Here are some resources could consider
https://www.w3schools.com/ | https://youtu.be/PkZNo7MFNFg – for hands on example
https://youtu.be/Oe421EPjeBE – you will probable be building in Node js so soak up that
https://youtu.be/Oe421EPjeBE --if you are really about that life you need this too
https://youtu.be/HXV3zeQKqGY --also you need something like this too.

Overall, my advice to you is pick a lane and try to learn as much as you can about those stack and build something with it. For example if you feel like PHP is your thing learn about that stack or if you are more comfy with Node.js then lean that stack.

Have fun with it. Its going to be a long ride, but luckly Wappler will fast track some of that learning for you, and most days you will only be asking questions in the community about why something is not working vs trying to go learn all those things I just linked up top.

Thanks! I’m in a different field and mainly learning coding for fun to see if i can actually develop an app myself. It’s quite a challenge but i like these new concepts.
