New Category for Newbies

When I recommend Wappler to newcomers, they often feel intimidated upon encountering the advanced questions in the "Need Help" section of the forum, leading them to believe the program is too complex for their use. It would be beneficial for them if there were a clear division between starter and advanced users.

I think such newbies would still see complex help request topics when they first load the forum, so I'm not sure if separating sections would help - it only helps if they specifically select a category/section to view

A possible complication is in the Search feature, if you want to search just for Help topics you would now have 2 categories

We should establish an 'Onboarding' category to help newcomers feel welcome. That way there will be no confusion with the existing 'Need Help' category.

Perhaps "discobot" (remember that!) could carry a pointer to an onboarding post

Just somewhere where people won't feel intimidated or frightened to ask what they think is a daft or newbie question and those answering know they're talking to someone new to Wappler so can aim the answer accordingly.

I don't know if this system can provide it but a default post/category the first time a new signup enters which gives initial information and also explains this is the place for newbie questions and shows the existing questions already posted by other newbies.

If a User has less than one post to their name the post should go to such a category. As with a Bug Report there should be default text/instructions shown in their first post which asks them to search for an answer first and then introduce themselves, their stack, and a little information of what they are trying to do with Wappler...

We've all answered the same questions dozens of times and mid-way through we find out they are running PHP and we've given Node advice, or vice versa, this needs to be clarified within their first post. I'll vote for that or otherwise am on the same thought train as Apple...

I can say that when I first looked into giving Wappler a try, @mebeingken's tutorial was exactly what I needed to take some of the "mystery" out of Wappler and the flow of how it works because being a PHP hand coder, I just didn't get it at first. When I completed that module of lessons, I decided then and there to purchase Wappler. When you add in all of Hyperbyte's great tutorials, there is some pretty good info on Wappler available. That said, for me being somewhat of a seasoned Wappler user now, I still find myself longing for proper, up to date Wappler documentation on all the features and components. The posts by Theodor and George are great, but they aren't alway easy to find. I had to ask just the other day what the "Form Data" component was cause I hadn't noticed it or the post about it before.

I think up to date documentation and perhaps a page/section of all the great video tutorials would benefit noobies and veterans alike.

Just my two cents anyway. :upside_down_face:
