Here’s the link if you want to give Wappler some love:
Nice article, thanks for your honest review!
I love your conclusion...
I LOVE Wappler so much it brings tears to my eyes.
Wonderful review.
I am curious to know what other platforms you had used over the 8 year period.
I used Appery.io, Ionic Creator, I’ve tried Goodbarber but it’s too constrained - I think it’s a good solution to create apps for physical events. I’ve tried thunkable, appsgeyser, appy pie, appian, buildfire, dropsource, instappy, axonator, filemaker, I gave Google’s appmaker a 10-minute attempt early on but wasn’t impressed.
I know there are other’s on the list - every time I’d see a ‘low code’ solution I’d go check it out.
Overall I the difference here is that I own the code created by Wappler - the platform doesn’t own the code.
Out of the category, Appery.io is second-best but then I have to host on their platform and pay per-API call. They also were using jquery for their styling which was worse than bootstrap out of the box. (If I think bootstrap looks so 2010, jquery looks 2005.) I think they’ve changed since then but after they changed to their per-api I haven’t been back.
