More Intuitive Rich Text Editor Than Summernote?

Some of my less technical users are finding Summernote a bit difficult to use… it can end up leaving formatting around in a less than obvious and annoying way…

Can anyone recommend a consistent and intuitive rich text editor to use instead?

Would be amazing if it had an insert emoji feature too!

Thanks!
Antony.

While I haven’t personally used it in my project, George shared in the roadmap post that they intend to add TinyMCE support, presumably as an alternative to summernote. May be worth checking out Wappler Roadmap 2022/2023 and beyond

@george, do you have any more details of the current timescale for this?

@Antony what kind of issues are your users coming up against? What level of formatting is required - I’m guessing its adding links, adding title text, bullet lists etc…?

I find that allowing fully feature free from inputs to most users results in bad looking layouts so we limit all formatting to a bit of a bare minimum. I much prefer TinyMCE as technically it performs better but I think most end users wont even notice that.

For emojjis, theres a Summernote extension here:
