Sorry, it's me presenting again but I hope i have a few things to keep your interest.
So tomorrow we discuss KanBan boards, Document Management and a eBook Project I am considering.
Also, no doubt, a few other things as we go off at a tangent as we invariably do
So hope to see as many of you as we can
Would love to have joined in but had issues with an update and Zoom. Thanks for what I did see though Brian! I tried to use the chat then Zoom totally killed itself. Removed Zoom and reinstalled in the terminal rather than using the Ubuntu App Center and all appears to be working again so good to go for the next Meet Up.
You did a great job Brian! I had some trouble getting in and missed the Kanban part (that I really wanted to see) but the demo you showed with the documentation was pretty freakin cool. Thank you.
I know how that feels but sometimes all is not what it seems. I once did a talk at a convention where the room fell absolutely silent. I thought the talk bombed out for quite a while. Then I was at an expo and had lots of people come up to me and ask me questions about the previous talk I did. Lost my confidence for quite a while until this happened. Sometimes people are just taking it all in. I wouldn't take it personally though. I can relate to the hard work side of it. Doing that talk on the dashboard a few months back felt like a weeks work in an hour. Not as easy as it looks to present at one of the Meet Ups! I did like the look of JSON to table though! That could come in very handy indeed. So thank you for the demonstrations I appreciated them. Cheers Brian!
However much it feels like it's not being received, rest assured it is. And these meetups are priceless in my view. I move heaven and earth to make sure I'm there so it's only when something crops up which I just can't do anything about that I have to miss it.
Thanks again Brian for all your work both on the extensions, the youtube videos and the meetups. Absolutely top drawer
Will the meetup make it to the youtube channel? I think the last few are missing. I can never make them due to work but do find them really helpful and interesting to watch later
I was geared up for the meeting—ready, alert, caffeinated. But then the Sandman showed up uninvited. One blink turned into a nap, and the next thing I knew, the meeting had come and gone.
Just got through the video - Absolutely amazing @Hyperbytes -
Brian you have outdone yourself again. Blame the silence on awestruck minds. Some on those things I've got an embarrassing amount of time put in trying to accomplish. You drop it out here in a few weeks.
Ben said it best - we get the advantage of watching a genius.
Guess i am just getting grumpy in my old age.
Questions are really useful in the presentation scenario.
When doing it, there is so much going through your head that things get missed. I watch them back and think your should have mentioned..... so many times
I forgot to mention as much as I said!
Questions make the entire thing interactive and remind my brain of things i forgot to say. There is no such thing as a silly question.
But thanks for your kind words anyway.
Best late than never, Brian. Yeah, I get it, I was there, and the silence in the room was quieter than the silence in space. But even so, it was a very good presentation.
I was actually looking after my 3-year-old son , finishing up some work , and listening to the presentation, which I joined late. I only managed to send a quick greeting in the chat at the end, and I think everyone had already left, hahaha.
