Is wappler using vanilla javascript or jquery on the front end?

Hey there folks
have just discovered Wappler and am considering getting the pro subscription. I am completely obsessed by speed optimization and was curious to know whether Wappler runs vanilla javascript or jquery on the front end?

thanks in advance
Linda

Hi Linda,
Our front end framework is written in vanilla javascript. The only places where jQuery is required are some of the bootstrap 4 components.

Hi Linda, welcome to Wappler.

To answer your question, have a look at

that is SUPER awesome guys  so am diving in - my goodness didn’t know that that there would be a node js visual editor out there that actually makes tying front-end and back end together this easy…cannot wait to get up and running!!! this is phenomenal!!!

With bootstrap 5 I am assuming that jquery will finally disappear from the majority of Wappler, right? Or will you maintain legacy App Connect components that require jquery?

Yes, that’s what i am also excited about
Components that require jquery will still add it on your page - such as the event calendar. Jquery will also be available for Bootstrap 4 sites.
