Inline Updates fail on Ubuntu

Just a quick report. Inline updates fail to download and install on Ubuntu. On restart of Wappler they are shown again despite clicking to install the update.

If @Cheese allow me,
I have experienced some troubles on this inline update using Windows 10:

Clicked on inline update
And seems installing but not finishing it:

So restarted:

After a few attempts, successfully installed.

Don’t know if it’s related, but maybe it can help.

Evening @franse

Unfortunately not despite several attempts upon each restart the updates are displayed again. However do appreciate the suggestion! Many thanks regardless.

Do you mean that the inline extensions update fail to install when you click on them or the full Wappler inline update? Like to version 6.5

Hi George,
I can only comment on the inline updates as I install Wappler itself via the terminal. Will try to remember to have a go at installing the next Wappler update via the prompt next Thursday and report back on that side.

How do you install it with sudo dpkg? or without sudo

Using sudo.

 sudo dpkg -i wappler_6.5.0-1_amd64.deb

I’m glad to report that starting from the next update, all future Wappler inline updates as well inline extensions updates will all work directly on Linux!

Finally found the problem - it was more a permissions issue as sudo is required, so a nice dialog now popups when executing the updates now.

Thank you for your investigation work @George!

Inline updates are now fixed in Wappler 6.5.1
The inline updates will be working without any issues for the future versions.

@Cheese you can now try to update inline to the new Wappler 6.5.2 from the previous 6.5.1

It should work as a breeze
