Impersonation in Wappler Editor

I found a lot of cases where I need to see in real time restricted data in order to modify by how it should look like, and it's not the same by disabling app connect..

Can we have an option to login an specific user on the editor by sending the security restrict id?

For example my workaround is: when I have some restricted data, I navigate to the /login page, then reload the content page (where the restricted server connect is) and the data is retrieved..

I don't use Design view, but I thought you could log in at the login screen in Design view.

You can, but that only works if you know the username and password of the account you are trying to impersonate.

Same as @kfawcett I don't really use design view due to it being too useless for not being logged in.

So this is a great feature request as this would make it actually useful again.

It would have to be something that doesn't get erased whenever you open a new page or restart Wappler though

Yes, like I said, that's the workaround I use, but you need to do it each time something change, and turn preview mode, navigate through other pages, reload, etc..
What I'm asking is, a simple dropdown, an input, where you can send the ID of a user and that's it, then your design view can fetch all the restricted data without more steps..

+1 to this. 99% of my work is in secured areas of an app so I’m never able to use real data in design view.

Bump

I've requested for years to add a query string to the design view. So that you can pass real variables so that the data changes to those variables. In the old days Dreamweaver used to do it. Would be a similar method of changing the live data in the design view.
