Hi everyone. So I’m looking to develop my own mobile application and after looking at a few options I’m thinking wappler might be my best bet. I want to have access to and own my code. I’m ok with a steeper learning curve. My focus will be mobile applications. I was looking through the documentation and see most of it apply to version 4. The DM I got when I signed up for the forum offered a free course but the link 404’s. What resources are available to me to take me from 0 to hero as they say haha. Does the documentation from 4.0 apply to version 5? Before I jump in I just want to be sure that the information and resources I’ll need to learn will be there for me.
Welcome @Tater! @Adetoyinbo1 has put together some pretty good tutorials on mobile app development in Wappler.
The Wappler team is constantly making improvements, so it is a little hard for documentation to keep up, but this forum, and everyone in it, are super helpful. The basics between 4 and 5 may be the same, but there will be differences in features and how some features work.
Most of version 4 docs are still relevant except the UI will look a little different. Version 5 docs are being converted now and should be available soon.
You have come at an interesting time for mobile stuff as the last few updates have done a lot for mobile. Wappler gets updated every Thursday.
And yes, you own the code forever. You are not tired too Wappler in any way.
You will find this forum very helpful and informative. This community is your friend.
The docs can be frustrating, check out the videos on YT, especially from @Hyperbytes. They convinced me to try harder.
Wappler is great for web. Mobile only is a bit tricky compared to development with React, Angular or Flutter, but it can work well. @George, @Teodor and @patrick are very helpful and try hard to keep up with our demand.
